What SEARCH Can Offer You
Your collection is important. We can help you manage it.
SEARCH has an in-house team of Collections Management Specialists and Archivists ready to assist you in getting a handle on your collection. We can provide support in cataloging, rehousing, packing & shipping, relocation, and short or long-term storage in our state-of-the-art facility. We can work with any of the major collections management databases, such as KE EMu, Mimsy, Past Perfect, Re:Discovery, Proficio, etc., as well as Microsoft Access and FileMaker Pro. No collection is too big — or too obscure. In addition to working with traditional historical and fine art collections, our team has experience with specialized collections such as militaria, nautical, scientific, and archaeological (terrestrial and maritime).
SEARCH can also assist you with your documentation needs. We can provide 3D scanning of objects, measured drawings, and archival photography and scanning.
Your story is important. We can help you tell it.
SEARCH has an in-house team of curators, content developers, researchers, and designers who are able to provide you with any level of assistance in creating engaging virtual or physical exhibitions, walking trails, smartphone tours, education programs, or interactives. From a single display to a large turnkey installation, SEARCH can work with you to bring your story to the public.
We also specialize in supporting our customers that have either a regulatory requirement or a public relations initiative to share interesting archaeological, historical, biographical, architectural, or cultural discoveries with a broader audience. For suitable projects that require mitigation, our proven performance introducing creative alternatives to traditional mitigation has resulted in an approximately 40% cost savings, 50% schedule reduction, and greater professional, agency, and community goodwill.
Your strategy is important. We can help you plan it.
Our team has extensive experience in museum planning services and can help your institution craft plans that exemplify museum standards and best practices. Drawing from decades of experience, our senior museum professionals at SEARCH can help you find your institution’s core values, mission, and vision – and articulate them in a way that satisfies the American Alliance of Museums standards for core documents. We can also assist in management plans, interpretive planning, and disaster planning.
OUR CREATIVE PROCESS
SEARCH content developers, historians, scientists, and researchers work with you to uncover the most important and compelling parts of your story.
Our work is rooted in research, whether in the laboratory, archives, studio, or interview chair. You want your product to be accurate. We want that too.
We work with you to determine the ideal method to communicate with your target audiences.
SEARCH will help you to determine the best use of your venue and the best platform for delivery, whether it is physical, digital, permanent, temporary, traveling, or a combination of all of the above.
Our design team will provide you with multiple design concepts and options for you to explore.
Once you choose your preferred concept, SEARCH will coordinate with any government agencies, local governments, and review boards for permits, permissions, or oversight.
SEARCH crafts, constructs, folds, films, records, paints, codes, and writes— anything that is necessary to create your project.
We deliver it, install it, and show you how it all works.
