SEARCH Part of New $94 Million Cooperative Institute

NOAA has announced a new $94 million consortium to support ocean exploration, responsible resource management, and improved scientific understanding of the deep sea. The cooperative institute, led by Dr. Robert Ballard, will leverage the resources and expertise of five principal organizations: University of Rhode Island, Ocean Exploration Trust, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, University of New Hampshire and University of Southern Mississippi​. SEARCH is a collaborating partner and the only commercial provider of archaeology in the consortium.
