Contracts Administrator
Newberry (Gainesville), or Orlando, Florida
SEARCH is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator in our Orlando or Newberry (Gainesville), Florida office. The Contracts Administrator will manage the contracts (to include subcontracts and leases) that SEARCH is offered and those that we issue. The position will work closely with SEARCH Accountants, Principals, and clients. Core responsibilities include:
Pre-contract authorization:
• Contract review
• Contract editing
• Federal and State qualifications packages preparation
• Insurance compliance/certificates of insurance maintenance
• Preparation of contracts for signature
• Delivery of contracts
• Liaison with legal, insurance, and technical subconsultants
• Liaison with contract issuers and receivers to negotiate terms
• Assure compliance with host states and host nations
Post-contract authorization:
• Notification to project team of unique contract terms and deadlines
• Contract tracking
• Contract term compliance
• Milestone and deliverable schedule maintenance
• Assuring invoicing accuracy
Assist in the preparation of proposal packages
Maintenance and renewal of various business licenses and certifications
Marketing
Customer service
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; five years of experience working on A/E, IDIQ, or general service type contracts for the Federal and State government, experience working with multinational corporations, familiarity with the F.A.R, superior technical writing ability, and a demonstrated ability using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office Pro suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred qualifications include a MBA, NCMA-Certified Associate Contracts Manager (CACM), Certified Professional Contracts Management (CPCM), and knowledge of Deltek.
The successful applicant will be organized, be able to meet deadlines, work well on multiple simultaneous projects or proposals, have attention to detail, have a proven track record providing excellent customer service, have experience in cultural resource management or the environmental engineering field, and have experience managing contracts for DoD and DOT projects.

SEARCH is seeking an experienced Technical Editor in our Orlando or Newberry (Gainesville), Florida location. The Technical Editor will ensure the correctness of technical reports, popular reports, public interpretation, marketing material, and other deliverables. Core responsibilities include:
• Technical editing
• Report formatting (to include text, tables, figures, photographs, and maps)
• Development of Tables of Content and Appendices
• Implementing established Quality Control procedures
• Report production
Secondary responsibilities will be tailored to the successful applicant’s skill set, and may include:
• Graphic design
• Website creation/hosting

Minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree in Anthropology or related field; Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; five years of experience in technical or scholarly writing, editing, and publishing; and demonstrated fluency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Office Pro suite, MS Access, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Illustrator.

Marketing Specialist

SEARCH has an opening for a marketing specialist. Job duties include preparing marketing material, proposals, and presentations, attending conferences and trade shows nationwide, client management, and some office management responsibilities.
Minimum qualifications include a M.A. degree; strong graphic arts and technical writing ability; five years of experience preparing successful proposals for Federal agencies; strong editorial review skills; and demonstrated proficiency in MS Word publishing and document formatting, MS Office Pro suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.

Architectural Historian
Newberry (Gainesville), Jacksonville, or Orlando, Florida
SEARCH is seeking an Architectural Historian to support several long-term general service contracts with the Florida transportation districts (FDOT) and the federal government.
Applicants should have: eight years experience as an Architectural Historian, superior technical writing ability, demonstrated contract and client management ability, Sections 106 and 4(f) experience, and five years project management experience supervising all aspects of projects for the FDOT, including background research, coordinating archaeological work, map production, report production, and budget management.
The applicant should have the experience and skills necessary to begin fully managing FDOT projects within the first week of hire. Applicants must meet the Secretary of Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation.

Submerged Prehistoric Archaeologist>
Pensacola, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Newberry (Gainesville), Florida
Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. (SEARCH) is seeking Submerged Prehistoric Archaeologists to complement our expanding Maritime Division for one of our Florida office locations (Pensacola, Jacksonville, Orlando, or Newberry (Gainesville).
Successful candidates should be M.A. level or above and must demonstrate:
• Strong working knowledge of submerged prehistoric
archaeology literature, methods and techniques on the
continental shelf as well as other inundated
environments including rivers, bays, lakes, lagoons and
marshes.
• Strong working knowledge of the latest theories in
submerged prehistoric archaeology and be familiar with
remote sensing and site detection techniques.
• Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Southern Atlantic, or West Indies
research focus.
• Proficiency in Surface Supplied Air Diving and be
certified in SCUBA Diving, First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen
First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries (DAN O2).
• Ability to obtain a current diving physical to AAUS
standards or have been medically examined within the
previous 12 months and been determined fit and
approved to dive by a licensed physician.
• Proficiency in the operation of small boats and has the
ability to troubleshoot small engines, electronics, pumps,
and trailers.
• Capability and willingness to work on terrestrial
archaeology projects.
• Expertise in the use and analysis of CHIRP sub-bottom
profilers, dual frequency side scan sonars, and
magnetometers.
• Superior technical writing ability.
• Professional commitment to Public Outreach, as well as
the dissemination of scientific findings to both peers
and the public.
The successful applicant will have a developed capacity for attention to detail, be organized and able to work well on multiple simultaneous projects, and be able to meet deadlines. Experience in cultural resource management, and experience preparing deliverables for the DoD and USACE is preferred. Applicants should have a demonstrated proficiency in HyPak, MS Word, MS Office Pro suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Ability to use GIS is desirable. This position is not suitable for applicants with schedule or travel limitations.
