Graphic Designer
Gainesville, Florida

 

    SEARCH is currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Gainesville, Florida office. This is a full time (exempt) position with a competative compensation and benefit package. The position is available immediately.

 

SEARCH provides our customers with a single source for integrated, multidisciplinary cultural resources consulting services in the areas of Archaeology, Maritime Archaeology, Architectural History, History, and Public Interpretation. Since 1993, SEARCH has completed over 1,900 projects across North America, Central America, West Indies, Oceana, Europe, Asia, and Africa. SEARCH's staff of 65 work from 12 offices to service our various Government and Commerical contracts in the Defense, Transportation, Energy, Engineering, Forest/Land Conservation, Museum, and Development industries.

 

The Graphic Designers responsibilities include:

    • Developing designs for museum displays, museum signage, museum

       brochures/handots, and museum/educational websites;

    • Graphical story-telling;

    • Capturing public interest in historical and modern-day human accomplishments;

    • Logo design and branding for companies, museums, and not-for-profits;

    • Innovative digital and print presentations of scientific, technical, and

       historical data;

    • Website, app, and eBook design;

    • Developing and updating SEARCH marketing media;

    • Editing and document formatting;

    • Creating graphic arts;

    • Illustration, 3-D renderings, photography and photo management;

    • Assuring that all work is high quality, interesting, cleanly presented, and

       representative of the leading edge in the industry.


 

The Graphic Designer will take direction from, and work directly with SEARCH Senior Managers and the Creative Director. Domestic or international travel may be occasionally required.

 

Qualications:


    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field;

    • Five (5) years of experience in graphic design;

    • Fluency with newest wave of graphical technology, software, and resources;

    • Ability to work in a PC (Microsoft Office & Adobe CS) or MAC environment;

    • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management industry and/or museums;

    • Creative and can-do (will-do) approach to problem solving; and,

    • Strong graphic design, graphic arts, photography, and/or other artistic ability

    • Creative and can-do (will-do) approach to problem solving

    • Must be customer-service oriented with a positive and professional demeanor
